Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to compare health coverage, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance.
What we've implemented
- Semantic landmarks, a logical heading order, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Visible focus indicators and full keyboard operability, including the ZIP code module and the state-exchange interstitial (which moves focus predictably when it appears).
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text, enforced in our design tokens.
- The ZIP input is properly labeled, uses a numeric input mode on mobile, and announces validation errors to assistive technology.
- Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
- Automated accessibility checks run on every code change, plus a manual keyboard and screen reader pass before launch (documented in our build records).
Known limitations
When you continue to our enrollment partner (HealthSherpa) or a state exchange, those sites' accessibility practices are their own. HealthSherpa's platform is held to federal standards.
